MyHealth@MyHands

The myHealth@myHands project (full name: Person-Centred Health Management through access to their health data using the EUDI Wallet Services) will help address the growing need for a unified data ecosystem across the European Union. Currently, accessing medical records and digital health services can be a challenge, especially when travelling between different EU countries. The project aims to help streamline this process by making medical records and health data interoperable and universally accessible by 2030.

A key aspect of myHealth@myHands is to empower citizens with the ability to manage their health data. The project also focuses on making health services more accessible through digital means, allowing for personalised health support and seamless integration with digital health services. This means that individuals will be able to manage who has access to their medical information, ensuring privacy and security.

By leveraging existing infrastructures and integrating with MyHealth@EU services, myHealth@myHands aims to improve the usefulness of data across Europe and make a significant contribution to the data foundation of the European Health Union. A knowledge hub will foster open dialogue with citizens, patients, health professionals, industry representatives, and academia to promote community collaboration and best practices.

myHealth@myHands aims to transform digital health by providing secure, user-friendly access to health data, ensuring that all EU citizens can benefit from a connected and efficient health ecosystem.

The project runs from April 2025 until March 2029, and is coordinated by the Irish Department of Health.

HL7 Europe will support the project with expertise on standards and interoperability, policy outreach, and communications.
